PATERNITY TEST
LEGAL PATERNITY TEST
At A U S DNA TESTING LAB & SCREENING, you can get a legally admissible DNA paternity test for $395, because we are committed to providing such results at a fair price. It will normally be completed in two to five business days.
Types of Paternity DNA Tests:
There are two different kinds of paternity DNA tests available, but we use the one known as PCR (Polymerase chain reaction). It offers the most advanced technology on the market when it comes to DNA paternity testing, and can conclusively determine parentage and non-parentage. A cheek swab is taken to collect the DNA.
The PCR can conclusively reveal either parentage or non-parentage. In the past, it was acceptable for courts to use a Combined Paternity Index (CPI) of 100 to 500. Now, the tests can reveal a CPI of at least 10,000 — which is why the results are so accurate.
The Cost for Paternity Tests are as Follows:
- Non Legal paternity test AT OUR LOCAL OFFICE (one child and one alleged father): $375
- Non Legal home DNA test kit MAILED TO YOU (for one child and one alleged father): $355
- Legal paternity test (one child and one alleged father): $395
Our home paternity tests are 99.99% accurate and confidential. So if you need any further information about DNA paternity testing, we’re here to help. A paternity test will provide definitive answers about a biological father of a child.
Paternity Tests: Just the Facts
With our world-class technology, we can determine parentage for a variety of reasons, including:
- Child support
- Custody
- Legal proceedings
- Immigration needs
- Insurance claims
- Birth certificates
And simply for your personal knowledge and peace of mind.
How Early Can You Perform A Paternity DNA Test After Birth?
A paternity test can be performed on a child of any age — even before he or she is born. One of our trained technicians will come to your home, office or any other location to have the test done, or you can stop by one of our many locations across the country. You can also choose to have a home DNA kit mailed to you.
Are Paternity Tests Admissible in Court?
If you need legal DNA testing, you’ll need to bring valid photo identification with you to the appointment. Each test takes about 15 minutes to administer, and chain of custody procedures (meaning the legal paper trail) will be followed. Home collection kits aren’t admissible in court, so please keep this in mind when deciding which option is best for you.
LEGAL PATERNITY TEST
LEGAL PATERNITY TEST
In some cases, it’s necessary for the courts to step in and require court ordered paternity test to determine who the biological parents are of a child. A legal DNA test can provide definitive proof of biological relationships for court proceedings. This is important if there are issues involving:
- Custody
- Visitation
- Immigration
- Birth certificate
- Tax form
- Court order
- Child support, child custody etc.
Court Admissible Paternity Test
Let’s say an alleged father agrees to pay his portion of child support. If he fails to do so, there’s no legal recourse for him in the event that a DNA test was never performed. The court will not be able to make any orders regarding this situation. A paternity test for court is key to establishing legal rights and responsibilities.
On the other hand,if the man welcomed the child into his home and acted as if the baby were his, the court can rule that to be “parentage by estoppel” and make the paternity declaration that way.

How Court Admissible DNA Test Works?
If two people aren’t married at the time of delivery, the baby will not have a legal father until parentage has been established. If the alleged father is claiming the baby is not his, the court may order a DNA test to prove or disprove the claim. A court approved paternity test legally establishes biological relationships.
After a DNA test is performed on the mother, alleged father and child and it determines that the two are indeed the parents, aDeclaration of Paternity will be issued. This means that both parties will have all of the normal rights and responsibilities of a parent. For the non-custodial parent, this means that he or she will need to pay child support, half of the uninsured health-care costs and other obligations.
Obviously, establishing paternity is a very important matter to resolve. The child deserves to have both names listed on his or her birth certificate, and to be legally and emotionally supported by both. So if you need to know more about court admissible DNA testing, call one of our consultants today. We’ll answer all of your questions and get you started with the court ordered paternity test process.
Still, when there’s any question about who the biological parents are, it’s a very good idea to get a DNA test for proof. A child gets half of his or her DNA from the mother and half from the father, so it’s a very accurate way to establish parentage. A legal DNA test helps resolve heritage disputes that cannot be easily solved.
We’ll perform the test by swabbing the cheeks of the mother, alleged father and child. We can do this by having a consultant come to you or by the participants going to one of our many locations across the country.
The cost of a court-ordered, legal paternity test for one child and one alleged father is $395. The cost to test the mother does not change or increase.

Legal vs. Non-legal DNA Test! Which one to choose?
Choosing the right DNA test depends on why you need the results and how you are planning to use them. Some situations require legal documentation for the court, while others only need private confirmation for your clarity and peace of mind. Knowing the clear difference helps you choose the right option from the start, without delay.
Grandparent Test
There are times when couples would like to know if they are biological grandparents of a child, and the father is either unavailable or unwilling to take a paternity test. In these cases, it’s best to go with grandparentage testing for DNA.
We recommend that both alleged grandparents, if possible, take part in the testing to ensure a more accurate result. If not, it can be performed with one grandparent.
Our fees for grandparent testing are as follows:
- Non Legal Grandparent Office Test (includes 1 grandparent and 1 child): $400
- Legal Grandparent Office Test (includes 1 grandparent and 1 child): $435
- Home Grandparent DNA KIT (1 grandparent and 1 child): $420
** Testing time typically takes three to six business days
A paternity test is preferable when the alleged father is available, but testing the grandparents can be your next viable option. Testing the mother also greatly helps in providing answers. If you’d like to know about grandparentage testing, contact our office for more. We often sample DNA for grandparentage and will provide you with the most accurate results possible.

The DNA testing process
When both the alleged grandmother and grandfather are tested, our technicians will use the genetic coding to reconstruct the DNA of the alleged father.
Why is it helpful to also test the mother? This way, we can tell which part of the child’s DNA comes from the maternal side (since everyone’s DNA comes half from the mother and half from the father).
If only one grandparent and one child is available for testing, it’s not possible to come up with a complete assessment of the alleged father’s DNA. In these cases, we will compare the child’s genetics to the possible grandfather. We will examine things like the number of shared genes and certain patterns in the makeup. A statistical analysis will then give us the “grandparentage index.” If it’s less than 1.00, the chances that the two people are related are not likely. A result greater than 1.00 means that it’s likely they are related.
We can also perform the same type of tests on the alleged maternal grandparents in situations in which the mother and child were separated early in life and there is no possibility of a maternity test.

NON INVASIVE PRENATAL PATERNITY TEST (NIPT)
At A U S DNATESTING LAB & SCREENING, we offer legal or non-legal paternity testing. We offer the safest NIPP, before birth noninvasive prenatal DNA testing.
If you or someone you know is pregnant and needs to prove who the father is, we can help. These days, a noninvasive option is available for checking the paternity of the baby. With this new test, you can get results in a safer way than ever before. This state-of-the-art procedure uses a blood sample from the mother and a cheek swab from the alleged father to determine the biological father with high accuracy. This is possible because the child’s DNA can be detected in the mother’s blood while she’s pregnant.
This non invasive paternity test can be performed at any time once the mother reaches the seventh week of pregnancy. The cost of this type of test is $1,800.00.
Top-notch Prenatal Services (NIPP Test)
While some labs will outsource their customer service, A U S DNA TESTING LAB SCREENING takes pride in hiring and training our own staff. This way, your experience is guaranteed to be friendly, confidential and as effortless as possible.
Noninvasive DNA testing can be performed earlier than most other tests that can be done to determine the baby’s paternity. This procedure is also considered much safer for the baby because it doesn’t increase the chances of a miscarriage.
If you need more information about prenatal DNA testing, contact our friendly professionals today. A noninvasive prenatal test is an attractive option for many people, but we’ll work with you to decide exactly what your needs are. We will walk you through every step of the way with a free phone consultation, so call us today to get started!

Restrictions for Paternity Testing While Pregnant
While prenatal DNA testing is a groundbreaking option for determining paternity, there are some restrictions to be aware of:
Minimum Pregnancy Requirement: A non-invasive prenatal paternity test — the test that’s done on the baby’s cells can only be done on the mother if she’s at least 7 weeks pregnant.
- Multiples and Twins: If a mother is expecting twins or multiple babies, DNA analysis is complex, so testing cannot be done.
- Close Biological Relationship Between Fathers: If the possible fathers share a very close biological relationship, such as brothers or father and son, we cannot perform testing because you pass on your genes to others in your family. This is so the results are accurate and reliable.
To help understand testing restrictions and eligibility, contact A U S DNA TESTING LAB & SCREENING for a free consultation (866) 287-3621.

Non-Court Admissible
Although a home DNA kit is easy to pick up, they are not regulated like legal testing and have the potential for mishandling or having cheated or tampered with processes. Although this may not be an issue for you, some people have experienced this. Beware of online companies that appear legitimate but ultimately outsource their tests to unregulated labs or ship your DNA samples outside of the US for cheaper processing. In order to avoid the issue of taking a test and being unable to submit it to a court of law, make sure to schedule an office visit, legal DNA test when applicable.
NON LEGAL SIBLING OFFICE TEST
Put simply, a DNA test for siblings is designed to determine if two or more people are fully related, share one parent or aren’t related at all.
How it works: One of our trained consultants will take a cheek-swab sample from each of the people being tested. (Or you can have a kit mailed to you and have it done at home, sending the swabs back to the lab for testing.)
The technicians will then examine the DNA to find various genetic matches. Through this test — using from 21 genetic markers to 36 — we will be able to tell you if those tested are full siblings, meaning they have the same two parents, or half-siblings, meaning they share just one parent. It will also reveal if they don’t share any of the
same genes.
Sibling DNA Test Pricing & Options
Our fees for sibling testing are as follows:
- Non Legal Sibling Office Test (2 siblings full or half): $420
- Legal Sibling Office Test (2 siblings full or half): $520
- Home Sibling DNA Test Kit (2 siblings full or half): $375
These results are sometimes used as proof in court for those seeking Social Security benefits, child support, visitation rights or other claims.
A U S DNA TESTING LAB & SCREENING offers a special type of sibling DNA test called DDC’s PlatinumPlex, which examines more markers and can provide results that are more than 1,000 times more powerful than a standard 16-marker test. Call us today to discuss whether your situation calls for this type of sibling testing. Put our expertise to work for your peace of mind!
How to successfully complete a Home DNA Collection!
How Sibling DNA Testing Works
Each human being has 23 paired chromosomes in their genetic profiles. Half of everyone’s genes comes from the mother, and half comes from the father. So when a sibling DNA test is performed, it’s very helpful to be able to test not only the alleged siblings, but also the mother. This way, the DNA that matches all three participants can be moved out of the way to focus on the remaining genes.
At A U S DNA TESTING LAB & SCREENING, we treat every one of our cases with the utmost respect, care and confidentiality. We offer high-quality sibling testing at a fair price, because we want to be available to anyone who needs one.

Image-Based Facial Comparison
A U S DNA TESTING LAB & SCREENING provides an AI-assisted, image-based facial comparison report designed for personal curiosity and screening. The report compares visible facial features and landmarks between two submitted photos and generates a Visual Similarity Score along with a PDF summary.
This service does not analyze DNA and is not intended to verify identity or confirm/deny biological relationships. For legally admissible determinations, an accredited DNA test is required
How Facial Comparison Works
The system compares selected facial feature landmarks and visible facial characteristics between two images and produces a visual similarity score based on patterns observed in the provided photos. Results can be affected by photo quality, lighting, angle, facial expression, occlusion, age differences, filters, and editing.
Submitted photos may be reviewed for basic quality (e.g., face visibility/clarity) prior to report release.
Important Notes (What This Service Is and Is Not)
- Image-based comparison only: compares visible facial features in the photos you provide.
